Woolloomooloo – Live, Love, Sell

04.05.17

Live

This inner city harbourside suburb has undergone one of the area’s most notable gentrifications over the past decade, with a dramatic transformation of this former working class area.
Most significant was the redevelopment of Finger Wharf, which has become a premier destination for anyone visiting Sydney. Retaining much of its original industrial aesthetic, this landmark development now plays host to luxurious apartments, renowned restaurants such as Otto, China Doll and the Ovolo Hotel (formerly the Blue Hotel).

Love

Still drawing crowds late into the night, the immortalised pie cart Harry’s Café de Wheels remains next to the wharf, while the naval ships still docking at Fleet Base are a constant reminder of Woolloomooloo’s traditional shipping heritage.
Given its diminutive size, Woolloomooloo is home to quite a number of pubs, including the fashionably refurbished Tilbury and the grungy Old Fitzroy, with its tiny but well-known live theatre venue. Less than 1km from the CBD, Woolloomooloo is bordered by The Domain parkland on its western border and cosmopolitan Potts Point to the east.
While the suburb is now home to a number of high-profile celebrities, it still retains some of its grittier urban appeal, with the vibrant entertainment precinct of Kings Cross on its south-eastern border.

Sell

Real estate in Woolloomooloo consists of all manner of apartments, including some luxurious multi-million dollar harbourside offerings, along with a few streets lined with traditional Victorian terraces, more and more of which are being stylishly renovated.
Its proximity to the city has made it increasingly popular with executives who can enjoy an easy 20 minute stroll through the picturesque expanse of the Royal Botanic Gardens into the heart of the CBD.

Rushcutters Bay – Live, Love, Sell

Less than 3km from the CBD, this diminutive harbourside suburb is a favourite with executives, enamoured by its proximity to the city and the array of entertainment on offer in nearby Darlinghurst, Potts Point, Paddington and Kings Cross.

Live

Luxurious large-scale apartment developments such as Marina One sit side-by-side with some classically elegant buildings dating to the ‘20s and 30’s. All clamour for a glimpse across the park of the harbour beyond. Quaint local tennis courts overlook Reg Bartley Oval, a lush cricket pitch surrounded by a traditional white picket fence.

Rushcutters Bay 1 - Live, Love, Sell

Love

The Vibe Hotel sits overlooking the park, with its rooftop pool affording grandstand water views. On the southern side of the main highway, a former commercial pocket has been transformed into a unique enclave of luxury car showrooms including Sandersons Mercedes, quaint cafes and warehouse conversions.

Every amenity and cultural attraction desirable is within easy walking distance of this most charming and interesting urban address – a picturesque enclave where the refined meets inner city excitement.

Rushcutters Bay 2 - Live, Love, Sell

Sell

Set in a protected pocket next to Darling Point, its most prized attraction is Rushcutters Bay Park, which meanders around the bay to the Cruising Yacht Club, where a host of luxury yachts are moored – you can even hire one for the day. Rushcutters Bay is apartment living personified – freestanding homes are like hens’ teeth.

Real Estate Sleep Out – Monday 24 July 2017

On Monday 24 July 2017, I am joining the real estate profession and spending a night in a homeless kid’s shoes. I will be sleeping on Bondi Beach as part of Real Estate Sleep Out 2017.

On any given night in Australia over 44,000 young people are homeless. Please help me to raise funds for the ‘Youth off the Streets’ cause to allow these kids to have a chance and break the cycle of disadvantage.

I would greatly appreciate if you could show your support and make a donation to help this cause. If you would like to make a donation please go to my donation page at: https://realestatesleepout2017.everydayhero.com/au/georgia-cleary-sleeps-out

If you would also like to spread the word with your friends and family I would appreciate it.

I am also so proud of the BradfieldCleary team, as many of our team will be part of it and are doing a fantastic job raising money for this charity event!

Thank you in advance for your generosity and support, it means a lot!
